Well, had the new (to me) camera for a while now but haven't taken that many pictures. Seems like life is just too busy for me to spare much time so will probably continue being more of an "ooh - that's interesting, I'll take a few shots" kind of a guy for now.
Thanks to those folk here who have viewed, commented or fav'd my shots - I appreciate it

'New' camera
Got hold of a new (to me) camera - Pentax Optio E75.
Still basically a point 'n' shoot digital but is small enough for me to carry around while doing my day job and also has some good functionality (Exposure and Shutter speed priority, for example).
So all I need to do now is read and memorise the manual :)
Oh, and start taking some pictures, of course.

Cat pics
Added some old snapshots of our cats after I fav'd "Paws up too" by MHK-annai - http://fav.me/d3cwcjx
Footbridge pictures
Not very happy with the footbridge pictures - and these three were the best of the bunch. Admittedly it was a freezing cold overcast windy day but that's no excuse for bad pictures.
If there's anyone out there willing to give constructive criticism, I'm all ears - or are you all like me and only comment on the good stuff?
Thank you Spirit
Well, my good friend Spirit has rekindled my interest in photography and I'm hooked again. Been a long time since I took more than snapshots and my camera phone doesn't feel the same as my good old Canon AE-1 SLR I used years ago.
Hopefully I'll get my hands on a better digital camera soon that will give me some control over the shots but I really miss using a view finder. There's something about looking through that small screen that allows me to just focus on the shot. Using the screen on the phone is just not so intimate and I find myself distracted when shooting with it.

Your concept of taking pictures is really close to what I'm doing with the camera
